Strengthen the concept of mold accuracy:


1. A mold is a precision forming tool used for batch forming and stamping products. The precision of the mold includes the precision of the parts obtained during processing and the quality awareness of ensuring the accuracy of the product during production. However, the precision of the mold generally refers to the precision of the working parts of the mold.

2. The content of mold accuracy includes four aspects: dimensional accuracy, shape accuracy, position accuracy, and surface accuracy. Since the mold is divided into two parts, the upper mold and the lower mold, the accuracy of the mutual position between the lower molds is the most important among the four precisions.

 When CNC machining accuracy is high, molds are often overpowered and underpowered. 

At present, the precision that can be achieved by a very precise mold is in the range of 0.1 to 0.01 mm. Compared with the previous mold, the accuracy has been greatly improved. However, components such as engines require accuracy below one-thousandth of a millimeter or less. Therefore, it is not yet possible to completely replace cutting with a mold.

The smoothness and roughness of the mold itself have greatly improved. However, the mold itself is also manufactured by a machine tool. If the accuracy of the machine tool used to manufacture the mold itself cannot pass the standard, the accuracy of the manufactured product will not be high.
